The Museum of the History of Bologna, at Palazzo Pepoli, has inaugurated the permanent exhibition on Mortadella Bologna IGP, as a cultural product that finds its roots in this territory; the exhibition aims to tell visitors about the symbolic product of Bolognese gastronomy and to “educate” them to the consumption of real mortadella, the one with the IGP brand. The project was wanted by the Consortium and carried out in collaboration with Genus Bononiae. Limiteazero designed and supervised the production of the entire exhibition, consisting of a modular system of cylindrical displays that house exhibits, documents and graphics together with a physical data visualization and a video in motion graphic.
The narrative has been divided into four sections: 1. History and origins of Mortadella; 2. Production phases and Recipe; 3. Data and history of the Consortium; 4. Communication and Pop culture.
