STEP is an experiential space, which aims to raise public awareness on the issues of the digital future, on the skills necessary to face it and on the urgency of a new and progressive literacy; STEP is also an observatory on the social repercussions of connectivity, and on the effects that these changes induce. It is imagined as a place in continuous evolution and updating, whose content changes over time as new and different perspectives for the future become. Your smartphone is the tool through which to explore, communicate and interact: answering questions, communicating with space, reacting to stimuli along the way. The goal is, through the interactions of each visitor, to generate a mapping of the specific FuturAbility profile, that is, how everyone's attitude towards the future makes it possible to give each guest personalized advice according to their journey. Competence and propensity, age and interests, will define the way to continue a journey after the first visit; further exploration will take place through in-depth studies, workshops, training programs and reading suggestions. As members of the small group of creative advisors, we participated in the creation of the concept and the definition of the general project and, subsequently, we took care of the information, media and interaction design project for all the multimedia contributions of the project: from the design of the UX and UI of the dedicated app, to the visual identity, including the declination of environmental graphics, up to every contribution of data visualization. We have also given shape and personality to Forward, a virtual character, half avatar half voice guide, who accompanies the visitor along the entire journey.
