Commissioned by Reply, to be placed in the lobby of its Milan headquarters, this installation takes up research on Carnivore clients, in this case configured to monitor data traffic passing through the local network of the workspace. The detected traffic is used to create and animate generative software and sounds (usable through headphones) that, in this way, “come to life” thanks to the flow of data generated by the people present in the space based on the activity carried out, thus revealing themselves as a visual and sound interpretation, in real time, of the current workflow. The installation consists of a cycle of eight alternating visualizations, each with a different visual and sound feedback and its own behavior for interpreting the data collected. The design of the object is an exploration of the aesthetic potential of the composition of the technical elements of the hardware, restored to its basic structural form.
